About This Design
Updated for , this is the tenth design in the award-winning holiday collection, “The Twelve Cats of Christmas” by Jane Denny, inspired by the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas” wherein on each of the days before Christmas, “my true love sent to ” some wild animal or unruly mob. Our designs replace each day’s gift with much preferable, we think, to the cacophony of noisy birds and mayhem in the song. I mean, if he was really my true love, shouldn’t he have sent cats? And since cats do things their own way, the festivities are not what you expect! In the tenth verse of our song, we trade the famous Ten Lords a-Leaping for Ten Lynx after snowflakes. Also a book available on , The Twelve Cats of Christmas won the International Cat Writers’ Association Certificate of Excellence, Muse Medallion, and the Kuykendall Image Award for outstanding image series featuring cats. A portion of every sale goes to help homeless and rescued cats in NYC.
