About This Design
St. John of the Cross (): Born in Spain. At the urging of St. Teresa of Avila, St. John began the Discalced reform within the Carmelite friars. Outstanding in holiness and wisdom, he penned many books on growth in the spiritual life, for which he was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church. Prayer to St. John on the left side of the mug.
