About This Design
Robert Redford kept one of these typewriters in his apartment in the movie “All the President’s Men.” The Swiss company Hermes made stylish, mechanically sophisticated typewriters and this is perhaps their most elegant design. All metal and heavily lined with felt soundproofing, this typewriter makes a slight “cha-ching” sound, reminisicent of a cash register, as you press the keys.
