About This Design
Woodpecker () by William Morris is a vintage Victorian Era fine art Pre-Raphaelite textile tapestry garden pattern. From Ovid’s Metamorphoses referring to the legend of Picus, an ancient king of Italy who refused to be seduced by Circe. In revenge, he was turned into a woodpecker.
