About This Design

St. Thomas More () was truly an English Renaissance man: He was a lawyer, statesman, social philosopher, author, family man, and Christian humanist. He also became a martyr under Henry VIII because he opposed the King’s divorce of Catherine of Aragon and his taking the title "Supreme Head of the Church of England". Today, St. Thomas More is the patron saint of legal professionals, civil servants, and religious freedom. + Image Credit (SAU ): Antique image of St. Thomas More (after Hans Holbein the Younger) from a late th century chromolithographic devotional print drawn by Baron Jean-Baptiste Bethune () and published by the Socièté de St. Augustin, Bruges, Belgium, in the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera. + Feast: June + Recommended colors for background and text with their respective hex codes include: gold (#AB), golden brown (#A), brown (#6F5C), yellow (#F5D), medium golden yellow (#E5B), dark dull blue (#3A), blue black (#B2B), light green (#B9BF), light grey (#), and charcoal grey (#5C).
