About This Design
Nowruz (or Norooz, Nauruz, …) … A time of renewal … the arrival of spring … a “new day” … a time of family, food, and supreme joy. Whether it’s the end of winter and beginning of spring; a sampling of observances, from the purifying fires of Chaharshanbe Suri to the natural settings of Sizbedebar; or even a nod to the Zoroastrian belief that God will ultimately prevail in all realms; there’s a lot of symbolism in this special mug. But it strives to show the essence of Nowruz, as a transition from the worn-out and bleak, to so much fertility and potential, to the realization of so much new, so much now … renewed. I hope you find joy and wonderful times around this special mug, alongside your family and friends. And, of course … Nowruz Mubarak!
