About This Design
This grumpy orangutan on the island of Borneo frowns as part of a temper tantrum during jungle school. The little orphan wasn’t getting her way, and just like children, orangutans have emotions and show their feelings. They laugh when they’re tickled, smile, and pout. The artist volunteers with orangutan orphan rescue and rehabilitation at the famous Care Center for hundreds of rescued orangutans. They range in age from the tiniest infants to large mature males who are partially paralyzed and can’t exist in the wild to adults who have been saved from bad situations and are being nursed back to health before they are released back into the wild.
