About This Design
The steed is from a wonderful carousel found in front of the Smithsonian Castle in Washington DC. The carousel was a creation of Allan Herschell built in . Originally erected in Baltimore, MD it was moved to it’s current location in . This beautiful carousel horse was painted by Canadian artist Lawrence Currie.
