About This Design
Pope Benedict XVI made history with his election in spring , and has made an equally memorable exit with the announcement of his abdication of the throne of St. Peter in February . A man of great faith and deep culture with the heart of a teacher, his eight years in the Vatican saw him cast the seeds of Christ’s message on rocky and fertile ground alike. Remember this great man and his humble exit through displaying his coat of arms, showing the emblems of his Bavarian home in the archdiocese of Munich and the scallop-shell of baptism and pilgrimage.
