About This Design
This mug has the hiragana alphabet on one side, and the katakana alphabet on the other side! Hiragana is used for words of Japanese origin, and katakana is used for words of foreign origin. Both alphabets are set out in a logical manner to aid learning and reference. I hope you find this useful when learning Japanese – perhaps while enjoying some hot “ocha”.
