Walker Bros. Illinois, Original Pancake House. All-Time Illinois locations: Arlington Heights, Chicago, Crystal Lake, Elmhurst, Glenview, Highland Park, La Grange, Lake Zurich, Lincolnshire, Naperville, Rockford, Schaumburg, Wilmette In , Victor and his two brothers, Everett and Dick, began what was to become four Walker Bros. Snack Shops in Evanston, Illinois. By , Victor and Everett continued to expand as one of the first franchisees of The Original Pancake House from Portland, Oregon. It was founded in by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. It was in when they opened their first location in Wilmette, Illinois, on Green Bay Road. In , they opened their Glenview, Illinois location with a classic theme of solid oak, brass-leaded hanging lamps and stained glass windows. In , their Arlington Heights, Illinois, location opened with a massive display of stained glass windows and rare brass fixtures. In , the Lincolnshire, Illinois restaurant opened on Milwaukee Avenue. The oak appearance was enhanced with an English theme. In late , they opened at Port Clinton Square in Highland Park, Illinois, adding an atrium for outdoor dining. In December of , they opened their latest Walker Bros. in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
