About This Design
Imagine you are hard of hearing, you are deaf in one ear, your left ear, and you are trying to drink your cup of tea. Your companion thinks you are being rude because they are sitting on your left side and you are not responding to their scintillating conversation, they then see your mug, and they realize that you are not being rude, you simply can’t hear them. Also good for just generally reminding family and friends which side is your deaf side!
