About This Design
Pipeline Playwrights is offering select promotional items in conjunction with our production of Wednesdays In Mississippi. This new play is written by Nicole Burton, adapted from the award-winning non-fiction book by Debbie Z. Harwell. Directed by Rikki Howie Lacewell, the play tells the story of Dorothy Height and Polly Cowan, who launched a civil rights project in Mississippi in amidst killings, threats, and bombings. The women forged alliances, helped integrate the schools, and aided the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.
